Fresh From the Garden!

Novak Elementary students know exactly from where the tomatoes came that were offered in their school lunch on Monday.

It was Garden Lunch Day at Novak. The students helped grow the tomatoes in their outdoor classroom, near the playground behind the school.

The tomatoes were served as a salad, or as a dish of fresh veggies perfect for dipping.

The project gives the kids a chance to see the entire process from seedling to table and encourages healthier eating choices.
