Elks Provide Dictionaries to Third Graders

603 shiny new dictionaries are in the hands of the district’s third-graders thanks to the local Elks Lodge 251.

The Dictionary Project is an effort by the Elks lodges across the country to promote literacy to children in third-grade as they transition from learning how to read to identify and use information.
Over the course of the program, over 15 million third-grade students have received dictionaries nationwide.
