The Da$h for Ca$h is a Success at Echo Hill
The organizers of the first DA$H for CA$H are claiming victory. The primary fundraiser for Echo Hill Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) was a complete success!
Echo Hill families donated $9,780 and $2,075 in matching employer donations for a grand total of $11,855.
All Echo Hill students participated in the DA$H for CA$H during their specials (Gym, Music, Art)
They were given a paw print fabric headband along with water and a snack. Students were able to go the through the course, that was set up on the school grounds, as many times as possible in 35 minutes.
The event used to be known as the “Fun Run”. This year to make things a little more exciting, obstacles were added to the course including hurdles, an army crawl (under a net), balance beam and scooters, just to name a few.
The money raised goes direct to the Echo Hill PTO which uses the funds for classroom items for teachers, a technology fund, a fitness fund, enrichment day, teacher appreciation, movie licensing, Scholastic renewal, science night, and inflatable day.
The PTO would like to thank the many Linn-Mar volunteers who spent the entire day at school helping with the DA$H for CA$H, Book Fair and Hearing Tests that were all going on the same day!
Plans are already underway to make next year’s Da$h for Ca$h even bigger and better.
