COMPASS Teacher Named Iowa Alternative Educator of the Year!
Congratulations to Linn-Mar COMPASS instructor Patrick Lampe. He is the Iowa Alternative Educator of the Year. The award is presented annually to the individual who is making a significant contribution to alternative education in Iowa.
In making the formal presentation at the district’s November 9th board meeting, Linn-Mar Associate Principal in charge of COMPASS, Steven Goodall said, “It is an honor that Mr. Lampe was recognized for I.A.A.E Educator of the year. It is because of his commitment to his students and his profession.”
COMPASS is a voluntary high school program designed to provide an alternative education for students in grades 11-12 in the Linn-Mar and Marion Independent School Districts.
Mr. Lampe was nominated by members of the Linn-Mar COMPASS Alternative Center Staff.
