Class Leaders Recognized

Linn-Mar alum and mayor of Marion, Nic AbouAssaly, joined student SODA and TRY leaders from Linn-Mar and Marion at a luncheon at the Marion Country Club.

The event, sponsored by the Marion-East Cedar Rapids Rotary, recognizes the students for their leadership throughout their high school careers. Youth leadership and healthy lifestyles are part of the Rotary club’s mission. 

Linn-Mar’s SODA (Students Okay without Drugs and Alcohol) and TRY (Teens Reaching Youth) clubs are sponsored by the Student Assistance Office.  Officers are elected at the beginning of each school year.
