Bond Passes With 66 Percent Majority Vote!
The following statement is from Linn-Mar Superintendent Shannon Bisgard:
Thank you voters! More than 66 percent of voters in the Linn-Mar Community School District said yes today to a $55 million bond to build two intermediate schools that will support our fifth and sixth grade students. These new schools will provide much-needed space where it is needed most — at our middle and elementary schools.
Our community has always supported our schools and should be proud of the positive results. It’s been a great experience to see our community come together to support our schools and children. The fact is we are a vibrant and growing school district and we need to keep pace with our growth by providing safe and supportive classrooms so our students can reach their academic potential!
Now the real work begins as we move to the design and construction phases of the new schools which are scheduled to open for the 2020-2021 school year. We will provide regular construction updates until the project is complete.
Again, I want to thank our wonderful community for your continued support of our Linn-Mar schools!
