Basketball Teams Shoot Hoops with LM Buddies
On Wednesday, the varsity boys’ and girls’ basketball teams spent some time with LM Buddies shooting baskets and playing games. After the shoot-around, all the students enjoyed pizza and spending time among friends.
The LM Buddies Club was developed to create social activities for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The club also allows students to be paired up individually or in small groups as mentors/buddies with a student with a disability.
The club meets after school one day a month to participate in activities. Some of these activities include movies, crafts, games, bowling, group challenges, and making cookies.
One of the Athletic Department’s core values is altruism, the belief in or practice of disinterested and selfless concern for the well-being of others.
A job well done to our basketball teams and LM Buddies!
