Attendance Policy Changes for Winter Sports
Governor Kim Reynolds signed a proclamation on Thursday, January 7th, 2021, lifting restrictions on High School sports and other recreational gatherings. The governor’s proclamation still requires the continued use of masks in indoor public spaces when people are unable to social distance for 15 minutes or longer.
In addition to the mask requirement, the Linn-Mar Community School District will enact the following revised guidelines:
Beginning Tuesday, January 12th, 2021, all participants will receive an allotment of wristbands that they can hand out to their family and friends for attending the contest. These allotments will be based on the number of seats available in each venue divided by the total number of participants. Based on the size, some of our facilities may require us to have further restrictions (basketball in smaller gyms, swimming, bowling). These parameters will be communicated directly to those families involved.
· Two spectators per participant for the visiting teams will be allowed.
· When our fans attend away games, there will be two spectators per participant allowed.

Our goal has always been to keep our students, staff and families safe throughout the season. We base our decisions on Linn County Public Health data along with district data and guidelines.
We continue to be grateful that sports are being played and opportunities are being provided for our student-athletes! We will continue to do our best to keep that going!
Thank you for your patience and support as we continue to navigate through these times.
