Academic Excellence Rewarded at LMHS

Congratulations to the nearly 1,000 Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors recognized during academic assemblies at Linn-Mar High School.

Each year, LMHS awards an Academic Letter to students who achieve a 3.33 grade point average or higher during the past academic year. This year’s honorees included 281 seniors, 322 juniors, and 384 sophomores.

To coincide with the adornments worn at graduation that signify academic success, the Academic Assemblies honor students for reaching the level of Honors and Distinction. Those students who achieved a 3.75 – 3.99 were recognized with Honors. Students who achieved a 4.00 or higher were recognized with Distinction.

Given the rigors of the academic program at Linn-Mar High School, this is an accomplishment for which students and parents can be proud!
