8th Graders Chosen for All-Iowa Honor Band

Eight Linn-Mar 8th graders are among the 21 students selected from over 40 northeast Iowa Middle Schools to perform in the All-Iowa Eighth Grade Honor Band. Two students were chosen as alternates.
The Honor Band is the highest honor an eighth-grade band member can receive in the state of Iowa. They auditioned while participating in the northeast district honor band in Oelwein.
They will join 132 of the best eighth-grade musicians from around the state on Thursday, May 11th when they perform at the Iowa Bandmasters Conference (IBA) in Des Moines.
