Three Linn-Mar Educators Receive Statewide Recognition
Three Linn-Mar educators are being recognized this academic year for their contributions to music education.
The Iowa Choral Directors Association, at their annual summer symposium this summer, will recognize three Linn-Mar educators for their outstanding contributions in support of choral activities in Iowa.
The winners (Pictured below, left to right), include:
Trent Buglewicz, music teacher at Linn-Mar High School, will be recognized as an “Outstanding High School/Post Secondary Educator.”
Jennifer Walker, music teacher at Novak Elementary, will be recognized as an “Outstanding Elementary/Middle School Educator.”
Kim Buelt, Linn-Mar High School assistant principal and fine arts coordinator, will be recognized as an “Outstanding Choral Advocate.”
These three will be recognized at a ceremony at the Central College Douwstra Auditorium in Pella Iowa on Wednesday, July 24th at 6:15 pm. The public is invited to attend this event.
Additionally, On Friday, May 10, the Iowa Bandmasters Association (IBA) recognized Kim Buelt as an “Outstanding Administrator of the Year” at the IBA conference banquet. Kim was one of three administrators in the state recognized this year from IBA.
