5th Graders Help ISU Students

Boulder Peak Intermediate is collaborating with Iowa State University Engineering Students and their Technical Writing class.  

The Engineering Students have worked on creating directions and designs to create four different types of paper airplanes. The Boulder Peak 5th graders tested the directions and the builds. The students then launched their airplanes and recorded the distance traveled in meters, centimeters, and millimeters.

After all that, the University created a feedback form for the 5th graders to fill out for the college students. It asked the kids to evaluate the Iowa State Students on the quality of their directions and their designs.
