Associate Principals Named at Intermediate Buildings

Linn-Mar is pleased to announce the associate principals who will serve the district’s new intermediate buildings.

Sara Hovden will handle the responsibilities at Hazel Point. Duane Orr will serve in that capacity at Boulder Peak.

 

Mr. Orr is currently an Associate Principal at Excelsior Middle School, Ms. Hovden is an Instructional Coach at Wilkins Elementary.

In announcing the appointment to his staff, Hazel Point principal Chad Buchholz said, “I am excited to have Sara join our team to open this school building to students in the fall.  Sara will bring diverse teaching experiences and a focus on collaborative partnerships in her work with others.  I am looking forward to seeing the important experiences she will create with students as we open this new building concept.”

Principal Dan Ludwig shared a similar message as the administrative team comes together at Boulder Peak. “I look forward to working with Duane, his many years of experience will help greatly with the opening of our new building. He understands the age of the child and will bring a positive, welcoming personality to Boulder Peak.” 

Mr. Orr and Ms. Hovden will begin their new responsibilities this summer.

Boulder Peak and Hazel Point Intermediate Schools are set to open at the start of the new school year.
