Ann Fry
Mrs. Fry is one busy lady. While teaching College Reading, Academic Literacy and Speech courses at Linn-Mar High School, she also sponsors the extra-curricular Contest Speech program and directs the Children’s musical.
This year’s production, the Linn-Mar rendition of The Lion King Jr., was a great success with over 1,000 guests in attendance! Kudos to Mrs. Fry and the student actors. Hakuna Matata!
It’s so fun to see how Mrs. Fry works her magic to bring the entire district together, young and old, for this special production. Her casts often include students who have never before had the courage to appear on stage. Her nurturing and encouragement are evident as the performers blossom in their roles.
Along with the play, Ann coordinates a canned food drive to encourage the young people in the audience to give to those less fortunate. This year’s effort benefitted the Marion Food Pantry.
Mrs. Fry is a great example of a teacher who enjoys what she does. You can see the joy on her face as she works with students to guide their learning, help them reach their goals, and recognize their successes.
