Amy Kortemeyer

Amy Kortemeyer is the new Superintendent of the Linn-Mar Community School District.

Before returning to Linn-Mar, Ms. Kortemeyer served as a deputy superintendent and director of elementary schools in the Iowa City Community School District. She was part-time superintendent for Springville Schools during the 2014-15 school year. Ms. Kortemeyer served as Director of Elementary Teaching and Learning here at Linn-Mar from 2008 to 2015.

“I am honored and thrilled to have been chosen as the new superintendent of the Linn-Mar Community School District,” said Kortemeyer. “I was attracted to the position because of the district’s excellent reputation and having first-hand knowledge as a former employee. I look forward to working with the school board, students, staff, parents, and community, and I am committed to providing all students with an excellent educational experience.”

Ms. Kortemeyer replaces Mr. Shannon Bisgard who retired.
