Amanda Potter

Amanda Potter is the new principal of Wilkins Elementary. She will assume her duties on July 1st.

Mrs. Potter has worked for 11 years as an educator, music teacher, and principal. In 2004, she earned her Bachelor’s Degree at the University of Iowa in Music. She earned her Master of Science degree in Education Leadership from Drake University in 2013.

“The leadership at Linn-Mar is what first inspired me to pursue a degree in administration,” Potter said. “As my two children continue to advance through the Linn-Mar School District, I look forward to the opportunity of contributing to the positive experiences we have within this school system.”

Mrs. Potter began her career as a music teacher at Linn-Mar’s Oak Ridge Middle School in 2005, before transferring to Echo Hill Elementary in 2008. Potter was interim principal at Westfield Elementary in 2013.

For the past three years Mrs. Potter worked as principal at Springville Elementary in the Springville Community School District.
