New Student Enrollment
- After completing this pre-registration form you will receive an email and additional instructions to help get a family PowerSchool account created. Please note:
- It may be 1-2 weeks before you receive this email and instructions if you complete the pre-registration form during the summer months when our district has minimal staffing.
- You must complete a separate form for each new student.
Do you already have a student in our district?
Please follow our enrollment process for returning students.
Are you enrolling a preschool student?
Please follow our preschool enrollment process.
Step 2- Create a PowerSchool Account
Once you’ve completed the online pre-registration form, you will receive an email from the district’s student database system called PowerSchool. This system allows you to see multiple children from a single account, and will be the system you use to pay fees, see student grades, and access other important information for your students. The email you receive will explain how to create a PowerSchool account.
Step 3– Pay Student Fees
Part of the registration process includes paying school fees for items used by all students. These fees can be paid through your PowerSchool account. These fees are summarized on the district’s Student Fee Schedule web page. A student fee waiver form also is available for families who qualify for free lunches or meet other eligibility requirements.
Step 4– Gather Required Documentation.
Much of our registration process is online, but the district will be required to collect additional documents as part of the enrollment process. Two additional forms will also need to be completed for new students:
New Student Documentation
Additionally, you can start gathering materials you might need, including:
Proof of child’s date of birth (passport/visa, adoption papers, etc.)
Current immunization record or exemption certificate, from a medical professional.
Proof of residency. This might include a gas or electric utility bill (last or current month), pay stub (last or current month), property tax bill, mortgage statement, current signed lease or rental agreement or other purchase contract.
Step 5– Ensure All Documentation is Complete
While most forms required as part of the student enrollment process are available in PowerSchool, our district or building staff may request that other forms be completed due to specific circumstances or are only required at a specific time. Some of these forms are listed below as a convenience to our families. Please note that these forms do not need to be completed as part of the registration process unless you are directed to them by a member of our Linn-Mar staff.
